Someone said on Twitter that Biden probably thinks that being non-white or female = progressive.

The msm is already talking about how groundbreaking it is that he nominated an immigrant for Homeland Security and a woman as head of intelligence. This is going to be a real shitty next 4 years.

Beware the first blacks, the first women, the first immigrants, the first LGBT, all these people only get there because they're willing to stomp all over oppressed people and labor in general. They're absolute killers most of the time.

A tactic used even by old empires. When you have conquered a region, put one of their own people in charge (who is loyal to you) and they are more likely to obey

We will all be bludgeoned to death with idpol, eh? The inevitable open fascism afterwards will almost feel like a relief.

In my dumbdumb brain, I still kinda feel like the first female president will be a Republican simultaneously deriding and exploiting idpol against a dour, neoliberal scold of a candidate

Progressive is a useless term because it’s so amorphous. Hell, the old eugenicists at the turn of the century called themselves progressives.

Call yourself a socialist or a communist. And don’t let the libs define those words into oblivion either, like Sanders did

In some alternate universe she enthusiastically endorses Bernie, drops, and gets Bernie's base for a run in 2024. She's much younger than Sanders and Sander's base has nowhere else to go. Instead she triangulated herself into fucking oblivion.

how will this lisa simpson mf channel that same populist energy??? she's a policy nerd who has an interest in banking regulation. when she says she's a capitalist, believe her. Sometimes I feel sympathy for her, but in the end, how is she any different than any other democrat?

Where is the base going? Jay Inslee? AOC is 17 years old and half this sub calls her a radlib at least twice a day. You can all handwave off electoralism all you want but we're all gonna vote for someone in a primary. It isn't going to be Warren now cause she's a moron but if she had said the right things it might have been, was my point.

I see what you mean. I was triggered when I saw her name being used in a positive context on here. your alternative reality might have been nice, but I suppose it would have been nothing more than an illusion of progress.

the rat's probably gonna make a serious run in 2024...shit looks bleak.

Yes, it was, because ultimately, she's still a decamillionaire with a Senate seat who gets to see her political desires ("sensible" Capitalism) come to fruition.

No way. Bernie is clearly prepared to make problems for Biden if he isn't put in the cabinet. If this weren't the case I see no reason for why he went on virtually every primetime news show to say that he wants the job. I.e. to show how progressives got screwed over should he not get it.

Bernie has always been a person who aimed to achieve as much as possible from the outside. He understands that the only meaningful electoral path forward for the left is through the democratic party, as third parties have repeatedly failed throughout american history, only ever handing elections to more right wing figures. That it's better to just treat the dem party as if it was a perminent coalition rather than a coherent party.

The only reason to behave nice is if you're getting something for it (and that for him is labor secretary), without that he has no reason to behave nice and he has multiple times now made that clear in various lefty media interviews.

Also the dude clearly had a personal vendetta with Trump that made him want him out.

It’d be very on-brand if Biden appointed a Trump supporter in the name of “unity”, and the appointee went on to be a Q believer that Biden would make excuses for.

Here’s the deal...my uncle Albie once told me that you don’t go to the milkbar to get a malt without bringing the whole darn team...some ways ago, and her name was crisp like an autumn morning. I believe, and I, I - where we go one we go all. And that is what the OBiden administration is doing in concert with our friends across the aisle. To bring unity to our great nation, to heal and begin a great awakening. Thank you, and god bless the troops.
