Yo what the fuck even is sleeping anyways? It always blows my mind like you close your eyes, all your muscles relax and suddenly you're in another moment in your life. It's like fast travel you know?
Crazy to think that you can shut down your brain like that, or something. Poggers.
Crazier to think that we need to do it. We must paralyze ourselves and hallucinate for roughly a third of each day, or we'll go insane and then die.
True. The average human spends like 20 years asleep or some shit like that.
That's why it's so nice to invest in a long-lasting and comfortable MyPillow™
I love to take a half an hour nap and feel like shit for two hours afterwards, honestly my favorite part of the day.
The disorientation is the best part, it's like time travelling- especially when you've had no sleep and can end up napping from anywhere from 2-10 hours and it's a time of year where it's hard to tell if it's early or late
For a moment you feel like you're floating outside of linear time completely, it's magical
Waking up when it's dark everywhere and then trying to avoid clocks because they'll ruin the mood
Sometimes you just don't know when you'll wake up when you decide to flop onto your couch
- I feel great! How long was that? 20 mins?!?!
Or
- i felt like shit! How long was that? 3 hrs?!?
naps after a fat meal are great
feel like a primal beast that devoured a carcass and must now rest for a few weeks to digest it
then I wake up and my mouth tastes like someone took a shit in it while I slept
I have never been able to take naps, I always regret them the minute my alarm goes off. There's like a 90% chance of headache afterwards and usually I'm just as tired.
Has to be 3+ hours or nothing at all.
My napping experience:
- can't fall asleep at all because my brain is too active all the time.
- if I do fall asleep, it feels like I wasted time.
- if I nap while the sun is up and wake up at dusk/evening, I feel depressed as fuck for some reason.
- wake up more tired than I was before.
- wake up with a headache.
My new go-to is to slam a cup of black coffee then lay in the bed on my back with a pillow over my face until the alarm set for exaactly 25 minutes rings
coffee doesn't always affect you right away. so if you're a person who can fall asleep quickly, you can crush a nap and wake up even more energized.
I cannot take naps so i don't do this, but i think i get the idea.
It works really well I wake up hit my sativa vape and it's like I was never feeling sleepy
Use naps after reading something heavy for it to stick in brain goop better. Think good and remember well.
Yes, I always did this when studying complex stuff in college. Don't fully understand it, take a nap
This is how I learn at least. I guess avoid the headache by drinking plenty of water before napping and when waking up.
after waking up from one i always feel like I've been hit by a truck
This occasionally happens to me where I'm so tired that I fall asleep without realizing. A few times I've woken up at 6pm and started getting ready for class, thinking it was 6am.
