Look just because you can't understand the 12 dimensional chess move of not visiting Wisconsin, doesn't mean it was a shit campaign. Or her sex pest advisor. Or not telling anybody but her competitive sycophants that she was feeling under the weather before her trip to the 911 memorial. Or the pied piper strategy. Or the being under federal investigation for months ahead of the election. Or, jeez this might go on for a while.

But, also the USA is shit and Trump is exactly the candidate it deserved. He played all the of the US's Favorite Hits and the media made sure he got plenty of coverage.

          not visiting Wisconsin

Her campaign strategists had figured out that every time she visited an area, her poll numbers got worse, so this may have been the correct move. Plus, I wouldn't wish Hillary on Wisconsin -- they have enough to deal with as it is.

Reminder that the Pied Piper memo came out before Trump announced and, iirc, Bill Clinton had spoke with Trump before then as well.

They had a phone call in late may before he announced.

edit: it looks like the the call occurred in between the memo and the Trump's announcement.

At this point I’m calling this a dedicated campaign on the part of Biden and the democrats to get Trump elected. If they were trying their best to get Trump to win it would look no different from what they’re currently doing so i have to assume that’s what they’re doing.

Democrats get elected after the most important election of our lives, with the mandate to end populist fascism and bring back the Obama years. Then they spend 3 years fucking up, then calling anyone who notices a dumb hick russian bot. Now it's a few months out and it's time for the most important election again.

It's how we always slide to the right. They never do shit, just hop from one gaff to another with a smug attitude.

Imagine being a Democrat right now.

Imagine being so unappealing that you lose to Trump

It's an embarrassment. But they (their donors) refuse to go left, so they'll lose. Simple.

They're not even pretending to pander like they usually do. There's no gestures at minimum wage increases, there's no promises about making homes more affordable or bringing down cost of living generally, who has even heard about healthcare reform since 2021?

We're dying young and poor and they're telling us to "be grateful for it, or else!" Or else what?! The largest orangest adult son will embarrass the bourgeoisie to their cultured European friends? Who gives a shit?! Couldn't triangulate a worse position if you tried.

With the electoral college, Trump really only lost by ~80K total votes across four swing states and that's with Brandon winning the popular vote by 6M and historic voter turnout. All that to say that the country barely DIDN'T elect Trump last time so I'm not surprised that he has a shot this time.

Don't you see they have statistics on their side though!

I'm so tired of hearing "real wage growth has rebounded faster than ever before!"

Really? In what fucking jobs that working class people are working? You telling me grocery store workers are getting paid more? Or delivery drivers? Looking into the data I'm sure the growth is entirely driven by the top 40% of earners who don't love in anything close to the precarity that average working class folks do.

The only reason there is any gains at all is because unions are striking and just vaguely point at rent increases and grocery food prices and even company negotiators are forced to grant giant raises because public perception would annihilate them otherwise.

Claiming Biden caused any of this is ludicrous. He made the rich get richer and we have to fight tooth and nail for every cent we claw back from them. Fuck Biden he deserves to lose, and it's a shame Trump is the alternative, because the path forward is bad or worse.

Meanwhile the average worker is looking at a 3% raise per year if they're lucky. Usually 0% or some fixed 25¢ amount.

Real wages went up because they went down slightly slower! Well, only if your inflation calculation ignored necessities like food, housing, and energy.

Yeah they act as if Biden himself magically invented inflation and Trump will magically fix it. Breaking news: that’s not how that works.

Uh breaking news when inflation happens people kick out the ones in power even if the ones they replace them with don't actually change anything.

After barely winning because Trump killed 2 million people with shitty decisions he only pissed off labor activists, climate activists, people who care about immigration, Healthcare, abortion and genocide.

Surely the 4 people who don't care about any of that and also aren't already voting for Trump will be an effective coalition.
