If they're not the most annoying, they are definitely up there with smug insufferable emptiness that is stuffed with treats and fad-chasing. Some of the most annoying people in the world are Californians, but in my own experience they're statistical outliers and should not be counted.
Otherwise "most annoying people" is such a broad, non-specific category that you could make a case for basically any group of 2 or more people being the most annoying. I'm personally annoyed by Seppophilic Norwegians and by Seppos in Norway, and I doubt anybody else is gonna mention those types of people.
