Yeah even though Godfather is hall of fame I never heard of these allegations. 15 months only wtf
And I thought the clapping for Polanski was crazy. This guy was on this shit the entire time
cushy rehabilitation center for sex criminals
I'm sorry, what?
for all these motherfuckers
yeah. I don't like it but I do understand it, in a system that fails to adequately prevent further harm, let alone achieve genuine rehabilitation
i believe the word more fitting than your emoji is "oubliette"
Coppola's winery Inglenook was also used as the most recent venue for Congressman Mike Thompson's annual fundraiser (who has voted to send money and weapons to the zionist entity), so Coppola materially supported the Palestinian genocide.
Had no idea about this but sadly makes sense that Hollywood has protected one of their sacred cows by having this swept under the rug

(for reference, I got bored of godfather 2 after lots of dudes recommended it to me, apocalypse now by someone? idk, movies)
I've never seen The Godfather II because Godfather I was boring af and when it wasn't boring it was really upsetting for how much the movie hates women. There's like, maybe 3 good moments in the entire film? And the theme song slaps. That's it.
'Megalopolis' is a piece of s—t
You’ve been warned various times already. You were warned when the Guardian reported this spring that crew members on “Megalopolis” described its making, paid for entirely by Coppola thanks to his fortune in winemaking, as a “train wreck.” You were warned when that same article leveled allegations that the old man would sexually harass female crew members (barf) and burn hours of shooting time just hanging out and smoking weed instead of working (OK I respect it). Coppola has denied the allegations, and has sued Variety for its own investigation into his reported wrongdoing. In its introduction, the written complaint in that suit includes the sentence, “Some people are jealous and resentful of genius.” Go ahead and take that sentence as a warning, too.
LMAO
Fucking "auteurs".
so the part about salva comes up a bunch in horror spaces, but i'm not sure i was ever aware of coppola's involvement. makes sense tho. salva is responsible for jeepers keepers & its first sequel, a pair of 00's monster movies that people tend to remember fondly, but that become incredibly creepy if you know what an abomination the guy is. it almost feels like he's taunting.
e : i seem to recall vague mentions suggesting the involvement of a producer or something like that, but this might well be the first instance i've seen of a name being dropped. fucking disgusting.
