I know they gave it to them purely because they beat Trump, but in my head it's because they killed MeToo and saved the War on Drugs.

and about to crush BLM, declare war on Iran, Venezuela, the DPRK, and the PRC, compromise on the student loan forgiveness program by raising the interest rates, lower government spending by slashing Social Security, Medicade/Medicare/CHIP, food stamps, etc. and to show proper American values of compromise, send anyone to the left of him to the border concentration camps.

Remember in 2011 when "the protestor" won TIME person of the year

LOL but when protests are focused on racial justice we have to give it a racist white man instead okay

It does kinda make sense now that I think about it. They unironically think trump is worse than hitler because he doesn’t show up to the White House correspondents dinner. All the insider sources are back in the White House bc they beat orangy mcorangyface

Biden was a tone deaf pick in the first place anyway. And Harris. And all of Biden's Cabinet and staff.

Wow, what a fuck you to all the doctors/nurses on the frontlines of the pandemic that are mentally fucked up from it, physically fucked up for life due to getting infected, or who actually straight up fuckin' died.

Guess I gave even Time too much credit.

He looks like he has no idea where the fuck he is.

What a joke. Biden barely did any campaigning at all for himself. Sanders campaigned more for this asshole than he would for himself.

He ran on NOTHING. There was NOTHING in his platform except "not Trump" and let's be real here; he only won due to a fucking pandemic that has killed over 250k people in the US. He barely won the presidency and the Dems couldn't retake the Senate and almost lost the House, so it's a small victory. Take the pandemic out, and he most likely loses.

there is an idea of a Joe Biden, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there.

What a joke. COVID-19 and the protests against police brutality were the biggest events in years, these two are a footnote.

lmao I wasn't expecting them to throw Kamala in. Definitely feels like a set up for her taking over before the end of next year.

He apparently said that when he was Obama's VP too. So that might just be his dementia addled brain thinking he's still Vice President.

Is anyone surprised? Literally the same magazine that named Hitler person of the year, they have no standards beyond what sells.

tbf that's what "person of the year" is about. it's literally supposed to be, by their own admission, whoever is biggest / most recognizable that year. on election years it's always the us president-elect. it was bush in 2000 and 2004, obama in 2008 and 2012, trump in 2016, etc

Maybe if it was any other year but 2020, but you honestly can’t tell me with a straight face that Joe Biden dominated the news and affected people’s thoughts and lives more than COVID this year
