Or...and hear me out....maybe possibly if they're big enough to be a part of the United Nations, then maybe, just maybe, the dictatorship of the proletariat should just seize them both and repurpose them into our nationalized social media communications system and global distribution system.

Or maybe we should just let the billionaires keep playing games and shooting themselves into space....

If amazon gets admitted into the UN how would that even work? How would they defend their sovereignty unless amazon is going to coup The United States.

amazon is going to coup The United States.

Already happened in most smaller states and even some big ones.

I always thought it was weird that leftists just brushed off Anarcho-capitalist weirdos. That's pretty much where this shit is headed at this point.

Remember when everyone under W (including Alan Greenspan) said they were Ayn Rand stans?

*Rand Paul was literally named after that dumb shit lol.

Ron Paul claims that he didn't name him after Ayn Rand. His name is Randall and he just chooses to go by Rand rather than, like, Randy

I HAVE AMAZON DIPLOMATIC IMUNITY I AM A MIDDLE MANAGER THERE

"Yes, I raped and killed those ten girls, officer. I don't even remember which order. But I'm an Amazon executive - understand?" He looks at his watch. "How much longer is this gonna take? I gotta get back to the office right away. And if they garnish my wages - they're gonna garnish your wages too..."

We've got a new feature release in like 2 hours. Either you let me go, or you're going to be the one answering for our stock plunge when 2 hours is up and the new sex slave auction house AWS frameworks and sales platform isn't online.

          ASS (Amazon Sex Slaves)

Sometimes jokes about Amazon creep me the fuck out. This is one of those times.

The UN can’t do shit. So what’s Facebook going to do?

gain the direct ability to mess with resolutions that could prevent wars in countries they want resources in. become recognized as equal to a state, and have legal grounds outside america to begin acting as a state with foreign countries. If China tries to withdraw from the UN because they will not treat Facebook as a state, that would likely further american insanity.

While the USSR was boycotting the UN over it refusing to give the PRC China's seat, the US cynically used it to support their genocidal war in Korea.

that's exactly what I mean. If you don't play along with the weird circus, you get harsh punishments.

But the thing is - no one in power anywhere respects the UN. Adding companies to it would lead towards the UN collapsing.

it does allow for diplomatic resolutions. it's not very good, but better than nothing, as it sets rules and moderators for these discussions.

Diplomacy is a lot easier in the always online era. Secure phone conversations were HARD and always 1:1 until very recently.

The main usage of the UN is putting things into the liberal American mindset.

Corporations and CEOs shouldn’t be part of it unless they are their own country, and good luck getting America to say Facebook is it’s own country.

Corporations are not a nation. It’s simply in the name of the organization. The United NATIONS. Not the United corporations.
