Kim was born in Hongseong County, Chungcheong Province on December 16, 1889 as the second son of Kim Hyeong-gyo. He was part of a wealthy family of the Andong Kim lineage. Kim was described as a broad-minded and intelligent child. When he was 3 years old, his father died, and he grew up under strict education by his mother, Hansan Yi. In 1904, he married Oh Sook-geun. Kim Chwa-chin moved to Seoul in 1905 in order to attend an Army Military Academy, later establishing the Namyeon School in 1907, where modern academic disciplines were taught.

When Kim was 18, he released 50 families of slaves when he publicly burned the slave registry and provided each family with enough land to live on. This was the first emancipation of slaves in modern Korea.

Kim also organized branches of the Korea Association and the Association for the Performing Arts in Hongseong to spread the ideology of Korean national liberation. In 1909, he served as a director of the Hansung-Sik Company. He established a northwestern academic institution with An and Yi Kap, and established the Oh Sung-sung School as its affiliated educational institution to serve as vice president. He also helped establish a youth student association.

In 1911, he visited Jokdol Kim Jong-geun in Donui-dong, a fund-raising institution, to establish the Independence Military Academy in northern Gando. However, he ended up being sent to Seodaemun Prison for two years and six months, for his subversive activities. During his sentence, he encountered Kim Gu. After his release from prison in 1913, he wrote a poem, "If a man makes a mistake, it is difficult to tolerate, and if the governor tries to live, he must wait again." In 1916, Kim joined the Korea Liberation Corps, which was formed by Park Sang-jin and Chae Ki-joong, together with Nobalin and Shin Hyun-dae. In 1918, he fled to Manchuria to escape the Japanese rule of Korea, and there signed the Korean Declaration of Independence together with 39 other Korean representatives, a prelude to the March 1st Independence Movement.

He joined the Korea Justice Corps, which focused on Senol, took military responsibility, reorganized the definition group into the military department, and was recommended as the commander. In 1919, he, on the recommendation of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, took up the position of general commander of the Northern Military Administration Office Army (Bungnogunjeongseo in Korean). His first action was to install a military center in the mountains of Wangqing County, where he himself became an educator on military leadership. Training under him was strict, and the tasks given to most of the troops under his command was focused on acquiring weapons. In September 1920, 298 people graduated from the First Military Academy.

When the Japanese military unit was sent to Manchuria in October to eliminate the Korean independence forces, it met with Japanese troops in Cheongsan-ri, while moving its independence forces to Mount Baekdu. On October 21, the Battle of Cheongsanri took place after the Battle of Godonghae, starting with Baegun-ri, Baegung, on October 26. In particular, the Northern Korean military regime led by General Kim Chwa-chin contributed greatly to the victory in Cheongsanri by winning a great victory in the Battle of Baegun Pyeongjoon, Gonjeongjeon, and Eorang Village. This victory, where Kim's forces caused around 1200 casualties to the 3000 Japanese soldiers, was a landmark in the battle for independence.

Later that year, he went with the Northern Korean army and arrived at the North Manju Milsan Mountain near Russia. About 10 groups of independence fighters united and took office as vice president of the Korean Liberation Army. When many people moved to northern Russia on a silver lining to support the independence of small ethnic groups, Kim crossed the red river.

But it had thought that he returned to Manchuria to reunite and wait for the scattered comrades, and in March 1925, he founded Sinminbu and became vice chairman of the military and commander of the army. In addition, a school was established as the first place to teach and train elite military officers. At that time, the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea appointed him as a member of the Cabinet. Kim did not take office and instead concentrated only on leading the independence forces.

When many officials were captured by the Japanese government in 1927, the new administration was reorganized to lead the new administration as chairman of the Central Committee of the Commission.

In 1928, the Korea Independence Party was formed, and in 1929, when the Korean General Association was established as the successor of the new people, Chwa-chin was designated as the President. During this process, conflicts between the nationalist and communist independence activists intensified. On January 24, 1930, Kim Jwa-jin was assassinated by Park Sang-sil, an agent of the Japanese colonial government. Just before he died, Kim Jwa-jin said, “What to do… I have to die at this time with so much work to do. How regrettable...” Three years after his death, his wife, Oh Sook-geun, recovered his remains and buried them in Hongseong, his hometown.

After the assassination of Kim Chwa-chin, the anarchist movement in Manchukuo and Korea became subject to massive repression. Japan sent armies to attack Shinmin from the south, while pro-Kuomintang forces attacked from the north. By the summer of 1931, Shinmin's most prominent anarchists were dead, and the war on two fronts was becoming untenable. The anarchists went underground and anarchist Shinmin was no more.

lol people on twitter are thanking fromsoft with what i imagine are tears in their eyes because they are addressing an exploit that gave invaders access to your OS through arbitrary code execution, and it's like, not only did they ignore this for an uncomfortably lenghty amount of time for something this severe, it also means that they could get booted off steam and any other online platform for potentially spreading malware if they don't fix this lol, kinda hard to just ignore it, with elden ring coming and all.

Fromsoft is really awful about not fixing shit like this (well, usually less serious than outright code executions) and then leaving it to the community to fix things, as you're certainly aware. Great games and all but when they're done with something, they just fuck off and only go back if absolutely necessary. Even people online who, by the mechanics of their games, are capable of randomly entering your world instance if you have an online connection (and the whole point is that there's no consent or checkbox to let them in, it's literally an invasion) could fuck up your world by getting you banned or even hack your character so that you were sent back to the beginning of the game and unable to progress from that point, destroying hours of work into a character in half a minute. And the community had to find ways to deal with it and make their own antivirus essentially because Fromsoft didn't give a shit.

They have to get other dev teams to remaster their own games.

It would be really cool to see the "finalized" versions of games that were rushed near the end (which is most of them). But there's not much profit incentive to spend that many resources to go back and make a do-over, let alone not have rushed out games. I feel this is a big thing we can use to radicalize the gamers that aren't already too far gone, is to say how much better games could be if teams received all the funding and time they needed to create the game they envisioned, and were able to go back to do remasters when a significant advance in technology occurs. I think there's already a strong (if not universal) sentiment that crunching is bad, so that's a wedge in the door at least.

Yeah honestly it's a pretty souring experience for what is one of the best features any game has had in two decades almost. I mostly play offline after getting a million ailments + curse after a single hit from an invader on DS Remaster and I got off lucky because I didn't get banned for also getting 3.2M souls.

    CW pig suicide

After losing thousands of dollars in a day of gambling at Detroit's new casinos, off-duty police Sgt. Solomon Bell tried one last high-stakes blackjack hand.

    He lost.

Seconds later, the award-winning officer abruptly stood up and cried out "Noooooo," then pulled his gun and shot himself in the head as other players scrambled away.

the CDC really has done an absolutely criminal job of handling covid masks. I'm in Florida. People are not wearing masks if they dont want to. That's another story, but anyone still wearing a mask is not doing it in spite, they genuinely want to be safe. Yet the vast majority I see are ineffective cloth or surgical masks. In the beginning, we might remember the CDC & fauci saying not to wear masks at all. Whatever. that's in the past.

However, even in spite of omicron they still say cloth or surgical masks are enough. Their guide to masks doesnt even mention respirator style n95s, kn95, kf94s etc! Instead it says maybe double mask? Even though double masking is worse than a single effective mask, and indeed double masking with a respirator mask & cloth mask is less effective than the respirator on its own.

You may have seen one of these graphics showing cloth masks adding 5 minutes of protection. This was for delta. With an R factor of double delta's, omicron is surely even worse for cloth masks. And yet no one even knows to wear a better mask.

If the CDC is concerned about them being uncomfortable and thus not worn, there are comfortable respirator masks now. N95 Auras, kf94s, the 3m kf94s are all supposed to be comfortable. kf94s are even earloops still! They're slightly less effective than N95s, but even comfier than surgical/cloth masks imo.

Also pretty sure the CDC spread some rumor that a poorly fitting n95 is worse than a cloth mask? Newsflash, cloth masks are poorly fitting! They are 100% wrong about this.

Anyway, death to america, wear a QUALITY mask please and help get the word out to people who don't know ♥

id love 2 have a good mask unfortunately bein homeless do be gettin in the way of that, just a little bit… ( im not tryin to be malicious or mean here, truly)

thanks 4 the info tho didnt know cloth masks were THAT bad…. god…. oof

(dont take this the wrong way… cuz i was, and still am as much as i can be with the resources i have, very conscious of this shit: ive been wearing a mask inside every single place, and have not eaten or had drinks in a public place…………since january, yes January, as in two entire months before they started requiring it, and a month before they really really started covering it on the news, of 2020….. im just poor as shit)

Quality masks are out of stock in my area, alternatively I could buy from amazon, but it will take a while (even a month in some cases) to get the good masks.

Edit - all the rich ppl in liberal mntn must be hoarding them bc I only see them wearing good masks, everyone else has surgical or cloth.

honestly, this is bonkers to me. i live in LatAm and have been using ffp2 masks since early last year and it's not uncommon to see people wearing ffp2, kn95 or n95 masks when in public.
insane to think that the richest country in the world botched it so hard. the difference between how America is propagandized and what America really is staggering.

everyone i know wear cloth masks cuz its reusable and washable, masks (especially n95,kn95s etc) are expensive and non-reusable.

you can reuse n95 or equivalent masks as long as you give it a rest period. just checked Walmart for prices and you can get a mask that will cost you less than a dollar per day (assuming 5 uses). where i live they are cheaper than surgical masks. definitely worth it to spend that money to be safe when there are so many new cases.
also this is subjective but to me N95s are def more comfortable than cloth masks and sometimes more comfortable than surgical ones.

personally i reuse them much longer than 5 days, and many masks can be found for $1/mask. as long as it still feels relatively crisp i wear it. I'm sure a respirator that you've worn for longer than recommended is still more effective.

          https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1ZvaeGNwhzj9zqoD7tRJZ67MZgYFNiGtDBmStC-92vi4/mobilebasic#h.pp6qb7xbgvic

i shouldve linked this before. its a fantastic resource on masks. one of the duckbill n95 links has them at 75 cents a mask

gmarket (korean ebay) also has some extremely cheap kf94s. http://mg.gmarket.co.kr/Item?goodsCode=2008285587

yeah, i only reuse them 5 times because i don't really have a shortage of masks and i don't need to go out all that often, so if i were to reuse it over five times one single mask would probably last over a month. that and i'd rather be cautious with the wear on the masks i use as i'm a bit of a hypochondriac lol
i appreciate the link, tho i don't live in the US, so it's not all that useful for me. you should definitely make an actual post with it though, with the omicron surge and what not.

kinda crazy to see 3M masks for that cheap, they are pretty expensive where i live. every time i see someone wearing one i immediately think "they must be pretty well off" lol
