I’m fully aware that Russia engaging in their imperialist venture isn’t anything to celebrate but I do fear what a world where Russia fails might look like.

I think there is hope in disorder when that disorder is within a global capitalist hegemony. Regardless of the crimes that the nations that currently oppose and have opposed the US in the past, if the world was truly entirely captured within the US's imperial domain - a truly planet-wide empire, no exceptions - then what hope would there be then? The only thing left to do would be wait out the apocalypse - nuclear, climate, or otherwise - and hope to build a society aligned along socialist values in the rubble. In that specific way, there is perhaps a logic to posadism.

I mean Russia has already failed in that the invasion is a massive boondoggle that will cost them way more then they wanted to pay to get way less then they thought they were getting. Them straight up not being able to complete the conquest is the odd on favorite outcome on betting sites as of now. This could not realistically have gone much worse for them.
