For years after graduating highschool I felt ghostlike, wandering the catacombs of the suburbs in search of a life worth living. I never found one.

My whole life I felt like there just should have been more. Never content in the realms of things, but wanting to feel the spark of connection. It is only in the moments of clowning around with other people that I've ever felt okay, but the weight of work and the need to "survive" (a ridiculous position in the first world, this isn't the fucking African Savannah™, look at the material wealth around us!) crushes that and other flashes of beauty into ash.

I guess my problem is I can't ignore that stuff as much as other people do.
