Imagine being a young woman of color, seeing that someone who looks like you is finally vice president and then it's kamala fucking harris :deeper-sadness:

had an old friend who is a radlib tell me during the primary that it would be more important to see a woman of color as VP than having Bernie because young people would be inspired. lmfaooo

She really embodies the vibe of someone who bullshitted their way into a job they fundamentally are unqualified for and is just trying to ride it out.

As empathetic beings, we feel the knot in her stomach when she speaks because she knows she isn't fooling everyone or even herself, but she just has to fool enough people to not become Quayle-eque complete joke so she can get those private sector millions in a few years.

Did she get a case of covid that's given her actual brain damage?

Has she been vomiting up word salad for years? If so - I never saw it. But in the last few weeks she's starting to make Trump sound downright Shakespearean. Seriously - what the fuck.

It's really funny, like how can she just /never/ say normal things? I imagine one of her handlers like "oh she's almost made it through this one AAAAAAAAAHHHHH WHAAAAATTTTTTT"

She's doing the politician thing where they don't give straight answers, like she isn't going to admit democrats dropped the ball on roe v wade because they don't give a shit, but she's really fucking dumb and slow-witted to do it. She's just kinda shitty at being obtuse. Anyway it's preferable for Harris to fumble her words and look like an idiot than have a huge headline about the VP admitting democrats deliberately failed to codify roe v wade for decades because of some realpolitik dumdum strategy.

She's the type of politician that wants to appeal to as many people as possible without getting too much pushback. Problem is that's nearly impossible to do as a politician and the end result is whatever this is.

What is their obsession with her? Did they even care about her before the primaries? At least Hillary had a huge fanbase from her years as First Lady, but what did Kamala do to warrant a fanbase at all?

she dunked on Joe Biden for being a racist during the debates (which was cool even though she ruined that by trying to make merch)

I think she ruined that by becoming his vice president and taking that back lol

can't remember whether it was within hours of the debate or the next morning, but she pushed "I was that little girl" merchandise so quickly afterwards that it made it obvious how preplanned it was

In hindsight, I kinda wish I got one. It would be very funny to have after she took that whole thing back and became his VP lmao

More sock puppets than an off-off-Broadway production of Wonder Showzen. Sock puppet density rivaling that of dark matter.

I'm sorry you didn't like to analyze a 14 paragraph cultural breakdown of a fictional workplace and answer vague questions about the state of mind of random people mentioned in one sentence, but actually, that's just how English works, sweatie.

it's the funniest option, so it's going to happen. she'll serve out like the last 8 months of Biden's term and then hand shit over to Trump

I am entertaining the possibility that there will be a GOP civil war during the primary, resulting in several GOP factions - Trump Desantis, Abbot - All refusing to conceded defeat and splitting the party apparatus.

At that point :jeb: will appear, taking on his final form as the Destroyer.

          ¡Jabe! Bush

I heartily enjoyed (1) Trump systematically taking him apart and (2) seeing the Bu$hitler dynasty come to an end. Hillary vs. ¡Jabe! was the establishment's preferred outcome. No matter who wins, the American people lose.

There's that pragmatic dem strategy of avoiding a meaningful stance on anything. So afraid of saying yes or no and too conditioned to speak in platitudes that she ends up saying less than nothing.

I can't see how she still convinces people she is an iconic figure. I'd love to hear her unprepared statements from her time as a prosecutor.

Hillary was smarter, she would say "I agree with the goal of universal healthcare", 5 seconds later she would say "That is why everyone should vote in favor of candidates like me, who reject universal healthcare. This election and every election forever."

And the journalists didn't think "wait, that doesn't make sense", because they were on her side, they were safe to just move on to the next topic, making the casual viewer think that what she said made sense.
