Not true, Pelosi will have a 'scathing' interview/speech where she will decry the rich people like Trump while ALSO doing nothing of substance.

Actually, I take that back; Pelosi is also rich, so she gains nothing thru that speech.

She's putting this in her quiver.

Remember how she had all these arrows to stop Trump from putting someone on the court.

The thing that a lot of people don't realize is that a lot of Americans look unto this as a VIRTUE. He will be celebrated for his scheming and cunning, and not paying into the pork barrels and welfare and corruption that defines BIG GOV'T.

The "two sides of the debate" are going to be:

The right: Trump is a high IQ genius for epically owning the government and keeping his hard-earned money

The "left": Trump is a bad bad man, unlike all the good billionaires who pay at least $751 in taxes and do legitimate-ish charity work.

Actual systemic critique, at least in the mainstream media, will be scant to nonexistant.

Honestly I expect it more to be:

Dems: He's not a good American, he didn't pay any taxes, how can he be a patriot if he won't pay higher tax!?

Trump: Of course I don't pay any more tax than I have to, why would I? You wrote the tax laws, I didn't pay any tax because Obama and Sleepy Joe here gave me a tax break. It was their law. I just followed it. I create jobs and I mean who likes paying taxes? No one. If you care so much why don't you raise everyone's taxes? Are you going to raise taxes?

Dems: No, we're not going to raise taxes. Of course not. But you did it through a loophole, a loooophole! It wasn't in the spirit of what we intended. You used a loophole!

Trump: Yeah, your loophole. Thanks by the way. Besides, you're all doing it, you're all doing it. At least I run businesses, not like Hilary's crooked charity that does all that creepy stuff. Where's Hunter's tax return? etc etc

Meanwhile, Biden paid $2M in taxes. How much do you have to make to pay $2M in taxes and who the fuck is paying you in 2017?

I think it was on the last Chapo or the one before that were they were just dragging his ass hella hard for being a fucking idiot and hardly getting shit in return for all the bills and legislation he has pushed in all his years the benefits the rich. I forgot the exact words they used, but it was basically like, "he is just in it for the love of the game." Just him just wanting rich people to pat him on the back for all the shit he pulls for them while not getting squat in return almost.

James Biden laid out his vision for the fund’s future. “Don’t worry about investors,” he said, according to the executive, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, citing fear of retaliation. “We've got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden.”

I always thought it was weird that personal taxes are based on income i.e. personal revenues whereas business income taxes mainly apply to net income i.e. revenues less expenses.

10 years without paying any income taxes too apparently.

Big ass news but I doubt Biden or any of the dems will use this against him in an effective way.

This is why the libs are fucked.

    Hot take incoming

I can say as a leftist paying taxes to the US government right now is stupid and bad. It does nothing but make the rich richer and to enslave the rest of use. Do I wish that taxes were higher and then that money was used for to pay to take care of the public good? yeah, sure, but that's not what taxes are used for in this country. its deliberate sabotage by the right, who then can then claim correctly that the government doesn't do anything (even as they are the reason).

Biden can't/won't say any of this on the debate stage.

Not paying taxes in the US does make Trump smart.

the margin was very close in 2016, its possible Biden somehow pulls out an electoral win. but as someone that spent the last two days driving thru rural farm land and saw more than one Trump sign the size of a small car, i doubt it

The only thing is that Dems have been (seemingly) relatively successful in courting suburban whites who are displeased aesthetically with Trump. Whether those turn into actual votes is questionable. I feel like there will probably be higher turnout than 2016 which would tend to help the Dems regardless

Trump cannot view the world without comparing himself to it. He is the yardstick of his own imagination. When he says his tax dodging is an indicator of him being smart it actually means he thinks if you can't cheat your way out of paying taxes then you are dumb. Donald J Trump thinks American taxpayers are loser idiots for subsidizing the entire existence of one Donald J Trump. Honestly he kind of has a point. Fucking cucked nation.
