      I have to imagine this is what most of the people Brace Belsen encountered in Syria with the YPG were like, we are just even more aware of what they're up to (homie volunteered in Gabon for the Navy as a Canadian, that can't have been good....)

          I remember he said something offhand about a friend saying they wanted to volunteer to fight in Donbas which he was like "ummm maybe take a few months before committing to that", he was against the idea of becoming involved in that.

So it’s mostly just Left-wing people and then, like, some pretty much apolitical vets who almost uniformly have been kicked out of the U.S. military

          So imagine that, plus right-wing Azov's attempts to find ideological recruits with the help of the US government and their ah, network, of right-wing gun nuts.
