Trump was president and instigated shit in Israel like moving the embassy in Jerusalem. The sad fact is that the US government decided years ago that this is the path for Israel/Palestine. It’s larger than either of these two clowns who IMO would both have done the same thing, although one can speculate that Biden is doing it more competently, or something…

The only improvement with Trump would be his likely reduction/withdrawal of support from Ukraine. But that would be offset, possibly to a greater degree, by more extreme agitation against China, compared with Biden.

Both Biden and Trump serve the interests of American imperialism, they merely have different tactics.

Disagree. One, I don’t think Trump is more extreme on China than Biden. Trump’s louder about China than Biden, but Biden has much more competently done the same shit Trump wanted to do regarding China. Do you feel like we’re further from war with China than we were before Biden took office? I sure don’t.

Two, at least Trump has opposition. He’s so outwardly gross and annoying that he makes the libs take our side. I genuinely felt much safer with Trump in power than Biden, because at least when Trump did evil shit people tried to stop it. When Trump did the Muslim ban people shut down airports, if Biden did the same they’d be telling us how actually he had to do it for national security and Trump would’ve done it worse.

Both Biden and Trump want war with China. But only the latter wants it right now, the former is merely setting up the pieces in Ukraine and west Asia. I mean I can only speculate but I think Trump would have taken concrete real steps toward a more open conflict with China if he was reelected in 2020. Maybe we would have traded Ukraine for Taiwan. Idk. But acting like these two scenarios are the same because they are both anti-China is reductive, imo.

                Muslim ban

I guess. It was never going to work out legally. It was just one of Trumps many smoke and mirrors to distract from the other things he was doing. Biden achieves the same result by staying quiet.

I recall watching a journalist ask some kids where they're from and they said Palestine, then they got visibly scared as a member of the IOF calls them over. He yelled at them and said there is no Palestine, that it's Israel. Back home you had to teach kids to be wary of cops, in occupied Palestine the children inevitably find out on their own.

But of course when they say it's super complicated and nuanced they don't mean that there's any other acceptable answers than the ones that they arrived it, it just means that their solution might not make sense to you if you just analyze it with things like "historical context" and "ethics" but it's definitely still the ONLY correct answer, even if to you it just seems like they're enabling a genocide.

It feels like the stakes are way higher now, the US has two parties with their electable figures decaying from old age and probably less than five years away from death. There's an active genocide going on. There's a huge recession looming over Europe. Not saying she's actually good, but she's exceptionally good for a lib and would be an easy shoe in to replace Biden.

To that note, all they'd have to do is pick him up while he's sleeping and put him in an office building with the most basic mock-up of the White House and he'd never notice. He won't remember the shape of the oval office, just plaster up some generic out doors pictures for "windows", get some college theater kids to play staffers and joint chiefs. If he comments that something is off, just tell him there's some remodeling going on. Gradually transition him to the memory ward and just tell the nurses to tell him that they're his new aides and that he's solved whatever issue he asks about.

Voting uncommitted in the primary is so obviously the right choice whether you do the "harm reduction" vote for Biden, vote for an independent candidate or just leave it blank/ not show up for the presidential election. Embarrassing the Dems by having 100,000's of their own primary voters writing in uncommitted is exactly what groups like the DSA should be telling their registered dem members to do, even if they're outside of Michigan. It would be very significant if a large amount of people did this, probably the most effective leverage you could possibly apply on them through electoralism, I may just not know about it, but I don't know if a primary has ever been weaponized against an incumbent candidate like this before in the US.
