For this Friday Movie Night, you wanted a Palestinian movie, so here we go, the highest-rated one on Letterboxd: Farha (2021). It is a tale of a Muslim girl who finds herself witnessing the events of the 1948 expulsion of Palestinians from their homeland by the settler regime. This movie made a bunch of Zionists very mad, so it probably does something right. Excellent reviews for this one, so let’s watch. After that is Safe (1995), one of the best-regarded films of American auteur Todd Haynes. It is a satirical drama-horror-black-comedy starring Julianne Moore as a bougie housewife who literally becomes allergic to suburbia. God Damn America: The Movie. Great reviews for this one, so we’re watching it.

We’ll start at 9PM EST on Hextube, right here: https://live.hexbear.net/c/movies
