Someone on the CNN said Russia was returning to the Soviet era just without the communism.
And then I realized this is what Libs actually feel. Soviet is a vibe.
I would argue that the Russian state has intentionally tried to make soviet into a "vibe" also. Capitalism with soviet aesthetics.
I would concur with how the rus.fed has been increasingly invoking Stalin-era vibes with their victory day parades. One might say that the rus.fed has been lightly rehabilitating Stalin's legacy to bolster the current government's legitimacy while trying to omit Stalin's legacy as the student of Lenin and the father of fraternal socialist nations.
I don't like them trying to divorce Marxism from Stalin but boy is it cool to see T-34s still trundling around during their victory day parades.
During the lifetime of great revolutionaries etc. etc.
I genuinely think many Americans can't conceive of food existing outside of fast casual establishments
