It is forbidden for men aged 18 to 60 to leave Ukraine during martial law. An exception was made for only a few categories.

Employees of the Border Service of Ukraine will check men of military age who left Ukraine after February 23. Men will have to explain at which checkpoint they crossed the border and on the basis of what documents. About this writes "Ukrainian Truth" with reference to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov.

"When someone returns to the territory of our country, we will clearly understand when he left it. The border system works flawlessly. All people who left our country are recorded. Everyone who will return to Ukraine from those who left after On February 23, they will have to explain through which point they left the country and on the basis of what legal documents," Danilov said.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council added: those who went abroad on a business trip must provide a separate document from the border guards.

It should be noted that men from 18 to 60 years old are prohibited from crossing the border during martial law (from February 24), if there are no grounds for this .

Exceptions are:

• men who have a certificate of deferment from conscription and a message of enrollment in a special military registration;
• men who have a conclusion of the military medical commission on unsuitability with an exception from military registration;
• men who are supported by three or more children under 18 years of age;
• men who independently raise a child (children) under 18;
• men who support a child with a disability under 18 years of age or an adult child who has a disability of the first or second group, until he reaches 23 years of age;
• adoptive parents, guardians, adoptive parents, parent-educators who support orphans or children deprived of parental care, up to 18 years of age;
• engaged in constant care for persons who need it, in the absence of other persons who can provide such care;
• men who have left for other states for a permanent place of residence, which is documented;
• recipients of professional pre-higher and higher education, trainee assistants, graduate students and doctoral students who study abroad in full-time or dual forms of education (students, trainees);
• persons liable for military service or certain categories of citizens - drivers who are booked for international cargo transportation, transportation for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, medical cargo and humanitarian aid cargo;
• people with disabilities and those who accompany them.

"Please note that all citizens who fall under the exceptions must have the necessary documents for confirmation. At the same time, during the border control measures, their validity and the fact of issuance by the relevant authorities will be checked," the State Border Service of Ukraine stressed.
