Whoops
It’s a step in the right direction, though I doubt this will get much if any significant play in western media. And even if it did, russia towed some ukr tochkas a while back, that will be their next out.
So it’s not waterproof yet, and it might very well never be, the way war propaganda is turning out right now.

I think this database is collected from videos and photos of ukrainian tochkas. Some examples:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXjOjno3HE4
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fR68MnANH14
the point is that they have the same kind of sirial numbers
Comparing its serial number with previous missiles fired by Ukraine.
Says some Russian Telegram Channel...
Be as sceptical of Western media as you want. They are extremly biased without question. But just trusting every bid of Russian propaganda because you want to isn't better. Russia has an interest in destoying Ukrainian infrastucture like railways the Ukrainians don't.
If they just wanted to do a false flag they could do it with something like a school not rail infrastructure that still has military use.
Except they haven't done that much at all, even people on this site were skeptical and asking why Russia wasn't bombing rail infrastructure. Here is one.
I even made exactly the comment sort of predicting this why would they bomb rail stations when that is only going to create more fake news stories.
BTW the theory I heard is that this is 2 birds 1 stone for Ukraine, this obviously raising the stakes with regards to the false flags death count and that Ukraine is maybe looking to turn that city into another Mariupol by making it harder for people to leave as Russia is about to encircle/take over the whole region.
If the Russians wanted to destroy the railway station they would've used a high explosive warhead, instead the missile had a cluster munitions warhead, the video shows the glass wasn't even blown out, the people standing outside were simply sprayed
And the railway station only became a target because of the video that came out 2 days ago showing hundreds of people waiting outside to evacuate, which in light of Mariupol is apparently something the Ukrainian military finds unacceptable
russia does not use tochkas, they use iskanders
They do have Tochkas and given that they might have counted on a faster end of the war they might have to use older ammunition because they are running low on iskanders or want to save up iskanders for more pressing targets.
If so, it would be the only example of them using a tochka in this war - they exclusively used iskanders up to this point. Plus iskander has been in service since 2006 - I highly doubt that russia is even close to running low on those, there are probably thousands of them in stock
also tochkas are no longer in service in russia due to their low reliability and accuracy

UA has been strategically destroying UA transportation infrastructure from day 1, though we don't actually know anything about why this Tochka ended up there in the first place. Incompetence is still an option.
capitalists famously love trains and want to keep them running
:yikes:
