A "socialist" is on the morning TV news in order to convince the journalist that his party is 100% in favour of NATO and rearmament unlike during the cold war where they were in favour of disarmament and diplomacy. Lots and lots of talk about "defending democracy", including this nugget:

This reminds me of the "Well, the CIA did bad shit back then, but now..." point and like... When did things change?
The actual real answer is of course that it never changed, the same people are in charge or mentored the people who are in charge now, no one ever got punished and there was never any accountability or shame to dissuade doing the same things in the future.

BTW the same "socialist" party voted for bulldozing social housing with too many non-whites in it. Completely utterly useless. They're worse than nothing.
Imma be honest, I don't know what happened in 2011 that is relevant to this, but I do know that NATO has never not been an arm of Empire & that Socialists should never back the interests of a bourgeois state, so.
