          Literally everybody except the US thought this, including the Ukrainian government, so giving them shit for getting that wrong seems a bit weird.

          The Ukrainian army would lay down arms and hug the Russian invaders

          Tbf, this is literally what happened when Russia invaded Crimea in 2014. That said, it was stupid to expect that the Ukrainian army of 2022 would act exactly like they did in 2014, but given their behavior in 2014 it also wasn't unprecedented to think that many of them would've just given up immediately.

              If you're mad at specific people you think are unironically pro-Putine or whatever just @ them, it automatically makes your posts way more hinged than howling into the void at shadows.

              Because most of us perfectly understand that denazification is an empty justification, but nazis will still by default be getting killed fighting the Russian army and that is cool and good, thats a small victory among all the bad shit, and probably some Russian nazis will be getting killed fighting the Ukranians too and thats nice as well.
