I'm now 100% convinced that French soldiers were at Mariupol, given that Macron has now stopped calling Putin since the helicopter was shot down.
France is fucking everywhere lol. They acting like some great empire, even trying to upsurp the US by trying to sell Rafale fighter jets to counties the US wants to sell the F-35. And the whole submarine thing. And spec ops troops crawling all over Africa, middle east and now eastern Europe.
Personally after all they've done in Africa I hope they get humbled soon.

Evacuating fascists by chopper just before the people rising up against their genocidal madness can get to them is a classic French move.
They evacuated as many of the instigators and architects of the Rwandan genocide as they could in a similar way and are still sheltering a lot of them to this day.
It didn't make much sense to me at first, until I realised it was probably part of their pitch to assets they're trying to convince to do something really awful for them. An assurance that in the very worst case, if it all comes crumbling down and the removeds overcome your forces even with their shiny French guns and training, and are storming the gates of your compound, a French helicopter will be waiting to carry you away to a life of wealth and freedom, where you and your buddies can spend the rest of your days reminiscing about the good old times on the French Riviera.

Not that I saw. I saw they shot down 1 over the ocean (no survivors), 1 with a stinger over land (2 survivors, both captured) and the final one turned around and landed back in Mariupol

I think they downed 3 out of 5 but that’s all telegram type news.
I saw 2 out of 3, the third turned back and landed in Mariupol
