Just a reminder to everyone: Practice good media literacy. Propaganda works both ways, and during wartime getting actually verifiable information is a pain in the ass. It's better to admit you don't have enough information than to get sucked in to one narrative or another.

Yeah the Russians are the invaders. Again, without making any judgement on what's happening, they're not going to talk about massacres or brag about how many people they killed. They need to maintain their PR cover that they're engaged in a limited "Special operation".

"The Russians" are 150,000 people who are running around someone else's country getting shot at, occasionally by Nazis. Even an army isn't a monolith. A company in one town could be diligently working to distribute aid and minimize civilian casualties while the company in the next town over is firing tank cannons at suspected snipers in occupied apartment blocks and the company in the next town is executing civilians on suspicion that they're partisans. I don't "believe the neoliberal information campaign". I have enough experience watching NATO's dirty wars from thousands of miles away to know that I don't have enough information to make judgements about anything.

It’s not like it’s been wrong or lying to you since this thing has started. before your miserable life even began

Well, would russia show people not liking that troops are there? Lol

So instead of individual heroics they have unnamed general heroics of troops gone there, liberated here, bravely fighting there :shrug-outta-hecks:

Idk, I would treat russian perception/version as general western perception in msm of fight against isis: I.e. some people are probably happy azov/aidar (isis) are gone, some are very unhappy about the war, some unhappy about invasion, but troops (russian/american) are prolly committing war crimes in the meantime

Well, my point of view is russia is run by vlasov-adjacent liberals, so I don’t find that particularly revealing pov. As for the war crimes - just general thinking (army will always do war crimes) is more helpful to me, so I don’t bother to defend russian army.

Maybe bodies were result of a month of fighting in a feint maneuver to pin ukraine there, does any body in the streets can now rest easy then? It was a feint lads, you go to eden?

Conversely, you can’t prove that nobody died during fighting, as again, that would be astonishingly ahistorical.

That is who I am talking about when I say Ukrainians.

I'm glad you clarified because it really sounded like you were going on a racist tirade and implying that anything that happens to Ukrainians is deserved because they are Ukrainians.

The Russians are accusing Ukraine of using crisis actors and faking piles of dead, smoldering bodies. That seems... implausible at best. It's one thing to disagree over the nuance of culture representation or whatever, it's quite another to agree that there are piles of massacred civilians, but claim that the Ukrainians did it to themselves, in the midst of the most scrutinized conflict in the world.

Most scrutinized conflict in the world.. where Snake Island, th Ghost of Kiev, etc were all reported as true in the West?

          That conflict?

you can't notice an imaginary pilot not killing people. but you can notice bodies being piled up and burned by "crisis actors".

They literally pretended all 80 soldiers on snake island fucking died and the West bought it.

Bodies. Okay. I can buy there were casualties. But how did they die?

Mass executions by Russian forces? Gonna need more proof for that than Ukraine saying "Russia did a Civilian massacre" at this point given how much they lie.
