New favorite conspiracy theory, courtesy of the last few minutes of DPA's latest comment response video:
Zelensky wants the Ukrainian eastern army destroyed.
He was voted in on a platform of implementing the Minsk II agreement and bringing about peace in the east of Ukraine. But he almost immediately found out that the Ukrainian army on the Donbass frontlines were largely far-right extremists who'd sooner turn their guns on the Ukrainian government than give up the Donbass/Crimea. So he's realized that the only way he's going to be able to bring peace to Ukraine is to get all of the militarized far-right in Ukraine killed fighting Russia, and once that's completed, he's going to immediately change his tone and start seriously pursuing peace with Russia.
(I'm not gonna pretend like I actually believe this, but it'd be incredibly funny if it actually turned out to true)

Wouldn't be the first time in history that a bunch of troublesome ideologically motivated fighters were sent off somewhere they were sure to die.
hell that's arguably one of the things that fueld the crusades; getting all the belligerent and bored knights out of Europe so they wouldn't cause problems.

While I think it is likely that elements in the Zelensky government would be happy to see the Nazis go I also think it is important to remember that Mariupol is not the only place with Nazis and that the Azov battalion is not the only nazi terror group. Nazis will remain a highly influential and dangerous factor in Ukrainian politics even though the once in Mariupol gets denazified.
Honestly that would mean Zelensky is at least semi competent as a neoliberal ghoul and understands that sometimes you need to regularly :hst-gun: your nazi collaborators
I was jokingly playing with a similar idea. All the military aid that Ukraine is getting is being set aside by Zelenskyy. When Ukraine is de-nazified Zelenskyy will surrender and disarm and Putin will be given all america's weapons as reparations for having to clean up the CIA's mess.
