RWA podcast having some dog shit takes https://mobile.twitter.com/RWApodcast/status/1508526482351611906

the russian army was utterly victorious in ww1 & was two months away from conquering istanbul when the february revolution occurred, no one doubted russian troops would be in berlin by autumn 1917, that's why the revolution was kicked off lol (guess by whom)

Straight up doing a "stab in the back myth" but for russia now instead

ww2, again, yes, much of it was a catatrophe bc of communist malicious idiocy but i don't think there is any debate about the outcome of the war?

    "Communist malicious idiocy"

Lmao and i saw people here like posting their shit

Well I mean if you saw anyone posting like "Good take from Russian comrades" or something like that ideologically/uncritically endorsing them as a whole thats one thing, but yes most of us expect Russian aligned sources to be anticommunist, we just dont feel the need to go on about it all the time.

Very much this. I find a lot of Russian nationalism gross from those sources, just as I do from the Ukrainian ones, or my own country's media. I read the Financial Times but it doesn't make me an arch capitalist.

Go after their takes by all means but let's not pretend this is some weird podcast allegiance thing.

tbf, peoples here posting about their info on the current war, as an alternative outlet, no one really take their opinion seriously. Like, we don't even know who they're, it's just after asb stop with his info, we have to find another one, English Russian source to compare western/Ukraine source.

You can criticize the source all you want but there is realy no need to dunk on the people putting real effort to keep the thread updated and sharing useful accurate information.

I too wish the world was as simple as reading only principled communist news sources on everything...

Once somebody finds a source in this war that is reporting truthfully on the Russian side and doesn't have some dogshit takes then let me know. e.g. Intelslava is obviously not the most reliable source but that and the other Russian telegram channels are all we really have if we want to know what's going on.

We like them as a source of information on the war, they've been decent at that. What their actual ideology is wasn't explicitly clear.

Tbh I just open their feed a couple times a day to get some quick updates

I have listened to a few of their episodes and those about current events seems to be okay. And then there was the episode where they claimed the USSR was secretly a British colony.

Didn't Russia lose WW1 so bad it kicked off the October Revolution lmao

Yes, huge amounts of people were dying and starving, the idea that someone can just "kick off" a revolution on command is just plain idealist.

It wasnt just in Russia either, France experienced a massive mutiny where half of their soldiers on the western front refused to advance and attack, only defending themselves if attacked, Germany of course experienced a failed revolution after the end of the war, there were waves of mass protests and revolutions across the world. The idea that this was from specific people "kicking them off" is ridiculous.
