(Stratford on Avon, United Kingdom, 1564 - id., 1616) English playwright and poet. With his verses alone he would have gone down in literary history; for his theatrical genius, and especially for the impressive portrayal of the human condition in his great tragedies, Shakespeare is considered the greatest playwright of all time.
The third of eight children of John Shakespeare, a wealthy merchant and local politician, and Mary Arden, whose family had suffered religious persecution as a result of their Catholic confession, little or nothing is known of William Shakespeare's childhood and adolescence. It seems likely that he studied at the Grammar School in his native town, although it is not known for how many years and under what circumstances. According to the playwright Ben Jonson, a contemporary of his, William Shakespeare learned "little Latin and less Greek", and in any case it also seems likely that he left school at an early age due to the difficulties his father was going through, whether they were economic or derived from his political career.
Be that as it may, Shakespeare has always been considered a cultured person, but not excessively so, and this has made possible the birth of theories according to which he would have been only the straw man of someone who wished to remain in literary anonymity. This has also contributed to the fact that there are absolutely no personal writings or letters of the author, who seems to have only written, apart from his poetic production, plays for the stage.
Shakespeare's career as a playwright began after his move to London, where he quickly gained fame and popularity in his work for the company Chaberlain's Men, later known as King's Men, owner of two theaters, The Globe and Blackfriars. He also performed, with success, at court. His beginnings were, however, humble, and according to the sources he worked in the most varied trades, although it seems reasonable to assume that he was related to the theater from the beginning, since before becoming an author he was already known as an actor.
His stay in the British capital is dated, approximately, between 1590 and 1613, the latter year in which he stopped writing and retired to his native town, where he bought a house known as New Place, while he invested in London real estate the fortune he had managed to amass.
Shakespeare's work
The publication, in 1593, of his poem Venus and Adonis, very well received in London's literary circles, was one of his first successes. His later poetic production included The Rape of Lucretia (1594) and the Sonnets (1609), with a love theme, which alone would place him among the greats of Anglo-Saxon poetry.
However, it was his activity as a playwright that made Shakespeare famous at the time. His work, a total of fourteen comedies, ten tragedies and ten historical dramas, is an exquisite compendium of the feelings, pain and ambitions of the human soul. After some first attempts, in which the influence of Christopher Marlowe is transparent, most of his "merry comedies" and some of his dramas based on the history of England appeared before 1600. The fantasy and poetic sense of the comedies of this period stand out above all, as in A Midsummer Night's Dream; the author's prodigious mastery of versification allowed him to distinguish the characters by the way they spoke, as well as endowing his language with an almost colloquial naturalness.
From 1600 onwards, Shakespeare published the great tragedies and the so-called "dark comedies". The great themes are treated in the plays of this period with the most ambitious accents, and yet the tragic always arises from the realistic detail or the penetrating psychological treatment of the character, which induces the spectator to identify with him: thus, Hamlet reflects the inability to act before the moral dilemma between revenge and forgiveness; Othello, the gratuitous cruelty of jealousy; and Macbeth, the cruel temptation of power. Similar to this group, despite its "Roman" theme, is Antony and Cleopatra, a depiction of the unbridled passion between the general Mark Antony and the Egyptian queen Cleopatra.
In his last works, from 1608 onwards, he changed register and entered the genre of tragicomedy, often with a happy ending in which the possibility of reconciliation is glimpsed, as in Pericles; this new orientation culminated in his last play, The Tempest, whose premiere in 1611 brought his career to an end. Perhaps tired and ill, two years later he retired to his home in Stratford, where he died on April 23, 1616 of the old Julian calendar, used at that time in England. Another great genius in the history of world literature, Miguel de Cervantes, died on the same date of the current Gregorian calendar, already adopted at that time in Spain.
Shakespeare published in his lifetime only sixteen of the plays attributed to him; therefore, some of them would possibly have been lost if the Folio, a compilation volume that would serve as the basis for all subsequent editions, had not been published (a few years after the poet's death).

No, everything has to be serious at all times and we cannot find any humor in the absurdity of hell world. The last time I smiled was on August 19th, 1991. I wear a dirty ushanka at all times, do not shave, and only take cold sponge baths because hot running water is bourgeoisie decadence. Every day at exactly noon I have the same meal of an expired Maoist MRE I store in a pit covered in old issues of a revolutionary newspaper. I sleep in a bed made of flags from every failed revolution so that they are never forgotten. In the evenings I stare at a picture of vodka by candlelight, but I do not allow myself to drink because there is nothing to celebrate. Every local org has banned me after I attempted to split it by assassinating the leadership. There is no plumbing in my house I shit in a brass bucket with a picture of Gonzalo and Deng french kissing in the bottom of it. My house is actually an overturned T34 in an abandoned junkyard in Wisconsin. I have a single friend in this world and it is a tapeworm named Bordiga that I met after ingesting spoiled borscht on 9/11 in the ruins of building 7 (I blew it up after finding that a nominally leftist NGO inside of it wasn’t sufficiently anti-imperialist, the attacks on the world trade center were a perfect revolutionary moment for me to enact direct praxis against liberalism). My source of income is various MLM schemes in the former soviet bloc that have been running for so long no one remembers who I am, they just keep sending money. I have not paid taxes since McGovern lost the Democratic nomination for president and my faith in electoralism died more brutally than my childhood dog after it got into an entire jar of tylenol. I own 29 fully automatic rusted kalashnikovs and three crates of ammunition entirely incompatible with them or any other firearms I own. My double PHD in marxist economics and 18th century Swiss philosophy (required to understand Engels) sits over the fireplace of my home, my fireplace is a salvaged drum from a 1950s washing machine that was recalled for locking children inside of it. I chose that washing machine model on purpose because I am anti-natalist. During the latest BLM protests I firebombed a Nikes outlet in the middle of a peaceful candlelit vigil. William F Buckley and I wrote hatemail to one another for 47 years until my final letter gave him an aneurysm. The only water I drink is from puddles. George Lucas and I dropped acid together during an MKULTRA southern baptist summer camp and he went on to write the movie Willow about our time together. The best way to test whether an electrical wire is live is to drool on it and shrimp salad is racist. You can make an IED out of potassium and the instructions are online thanks to Timothy McVey, who was actually a committed antifascist communist slandered by the deep state as part of operation condor. Every time a liberal files a restraining order against me, I carve a mark into the wall. I am running out of walls. When Amerika finally collapses I will be ready to lead the revolution. I am very smart and people like being around me.
The weirdest shit that has been normalized in this hell world is parents and family members talking about newborns and infants boyfriends/girlfriends. Being “players”, ladies man, all the boys will be chasing. Like holy shit the child just got out of the womb. You don’t need to sexualize them having eyes and smiling at people.
Rather talk about how the strapping newborn babe will make a fine child soldier in the duke's army.
hey guys does anyone have a gun i can borrow? i'm at walmart but i forgot my gun at home and now i can't tell the employees i want to buy a steak
British fascists have this very weird thing where they hate Ireland and Irish people and descend into a blood rage at the thought of the Irish, but also think that Ireland should be a part of the UK again
They feel the same about Scotland and Wales. Hate the people and think they should be grateful for being part of Britain.

Almost like Reddit is a hellfire and podcasts aren’t theory, and podcast grifters aren’t our comrades.
Makes ya think
i've not listened to trueanon and only know of them tangentially thru other lefty podcasts. did they do something that makes them grifters or are you just talking about the podcaster class in general?
man something that really pisses me off about all the lefty media is you can plainly see working class people barely able to try to poke their way into it but people from affluent families who can spend actual money and time on it end up actually finding success.
for example when i listen to an episode of chapo and hear how those dudes are living, and then i go listen to an episode of relatively unknown (hosted by the dude who used to co-host street fight radio), it's wild. one of them is talking about how they have to do ubereats and amazon flex for money while moving back into their parent's basement. the other talk about like idk how they couldn't get a good sandwich at the bodega or whatever
occasionally references or promotes theory,
when have they done this. you're imagining this.

Just sharing this for the rest of the class.

Being on my own diet quest, I find that it helps with morale if I formulate my goals as 'having made progress by X', rather than a 'set goal weight by X'. Don't know if that's what you're doing, but I hope it helps.
you've got this comrade. i lost like 200 lbs or some shit, and i have faith that if i can do it anyone who sticks to it can also do it. even if that means sometimes you're taking two steps forward and one step back. the thing that really helped me was i grew a disdain for the very foods that made me so fat, because i came to the conclusion that they're mass produced with knowingly addictive garbage in it that kills people who eat it while making their bodies crave it bc that's what's most profitable for the companies manufacturing it. any time i went to grab something, i either felt "i'm not gonna keep being a sucker for these capitalist pieces of shit" or i felt like i didn't want to hurt myself with food anymore, bc ultimately that's what i was doing: self harming with food
i hope you can find the perspective in your own head that helps you overcome your eating disorder. i mean, keep it at bay. i'll always have that eating disorder. somedays i go ham on some shit, but so long as i keep myself 90% on the right track i don't beat myself up over some days where i slip up.
